Academy Remedial Surveyors are a national organisation of experienced and qualified remedial surveyors specialising in all forms of damp and timber defects affecting both private and commercial properties of all types, designs and age. Our expertise further includes advice and design of structural waterproofing below the ground mainly required in cellar and basement conversions to provide dry and habitable living accommodation. We also assist in flood restoration remedy and the existance of or condition of cavity wall ties.
Academy Remedial Surveyors are not contractors who carry out work meaning we have no financial interest in looking for work or problems that do not exist. Our mission and object is to inspect, diagnose and provide opinion of problems reported by others or, to inspect for pre-sale purposes to determine if any problems exist.
Academy Remedial Surveyors are employed by both the private and commercial sector however the largest proportion of our work is for homebuyers after receiving the homebuyers survey report which normally recommends a damp and timber survey even only as a precaution. Existing homeowners also find our services invaluable. Architects, building surveyors, local authorities, banks, mortgage lenders, insurance companies and builders are all part of our commercial client portfolio.
Academy Remedial Surveyors are all independent, qualified, registered with the Property Care Association and fully insured.
The Property Care Association (PCA) is the industry regulatory body of which members have an absolute requirement to demonstrate their expertise, competence and financial standing. It was formally a division of the British Wood Preserving and Damp proofing Association (BWPDA)
